Kiraahaaa so shall i just install dw and copy all files from the plugins and themes directory?
a bit confused what’s the difference between the two to be honest… i mean there’s the geodirectory plugin folder under plugins and also the theme’s folder under themes (Whoop). how do i know a certain element is in which folder..
Thanks a lot for the tip…might make things easier…
I’ll install dw and see how i get around setting up the whole project.
Have a good one!
Kiraawesome! many thanks!
Kira
Hi Paolo,
Thanks for the reply. Would it be safe to say that the next release will have this fixed?
Cheers!
Kirayeah, don’t worry about it…thanks i’ll try and create one and see how it goes. cheers!
Hi Guust,
Sorry to comeback but there is no “For Admin use only?” on any of the fields. Is there something I need to do prior to this to enable it?
Thanks!
KiraHi Guust,
Thanks for the reply. With your help I managed to hide what i needed.
Some question though, by disabling the field as above, the change will be aplied to the add_listing form. Correct?
What i need to know is will I still be able to set a special offer for a restaurant? Or the change applies to whole site?
My concern is that I don’t want a random user to set a special offer for a listing. I want myself or a moderator to be able to do that though.
Thanks!
KiraGuys,
Thank you so much! It looks much better now!
I would really want to minimize the tickets raised to be honest but I’m finding hard to identify some sections / variables used. To be honest I don’t know where to look.
For example, now i would need for the detail page to hide the info attached, however I might be able to find the code that hides that info, but don’t know WHAT to hide, how the whole section is called.
Or for example i’ve moved the whole photo track where I want it but don’t know how to identify the links for the photos linked to the listing displayed. Right now it’s static pointing to Alexander inn.
I’ve used this piece of code i found on the support forum to identify the items on the detail page:
add_action( ‘geodir_details_main_content’, ‘my_custom_action’,35);
function my_custom_action(){global $post; print_r($post);}However if I want to do similar work on the profile page of a member I wouldn’t know what to replace the ‘geodir_details_main_content’ with.
@paolo,
that might be a good option when i’ll decide to hire a developer, thanks for the tip.Cheers!
