The reason that you’re not able to import demo content is because you did not specify your default location in GD > Set Default Location. I’ve just imported it for you. Feel free to remove the data and reimport using the correct location.

1. Place is the default CPT and cannot be removed. So, if you don’t need it just don’t use it and it will not appear anywhere. Also, you can rename everything about it like name and slug, but you can’t change the Custom Post Type prefix (gd_place).
