Hi Zois,
Please check out this reply and see if it helps https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/the-function-of-nearme/#post-256154 . If you already had SSL activated and you’re still facing this issue, do you think you can share WP temp admin access to your Website? You can use the private reply option below.
Thanks!
Hi there,
Could you please confirm that you’ve followed these steps from this thread when you migrated your Website? https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/migration-problems/#post-54920 . Let us know how it goes.
Hi Manish,
I’ve just tested that URL page and the rating seems to be displaying correctly. Check out this screenshot I’ve captured from my end. http://prntscr.com/cjr65c . Did you manage to fix it yourself?
Thanks!
Hi Dennis,
The reason is because GD uses some special templates to create your map pages, category pages, detail pages etc. Check out this section of the documentation for more info on how to customize those templates. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/
Hi Ding Hua,
Could you please check out this section of the documentation and see if it’s what you’re looking for? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#sorting
Hi Akshay,
Have you tried inserting the Widget into the “Detail Sidebar” widget section as shown in this screenshot? http://prntscr.com/cjp1au . If that doesn’t work, do you think you can share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.
Thanks!
Hi there,
I’ll try to answer your questions accordingly.
#1 That isn’t really a duplicate, since you’ve chosen to display both ascending and descending, give the title a name to differentiate it.
#2 Use the custom CSS code below to target the H3 texts
.geodir-gridview h3 a{ font-size: 20px; color:blue; }
#3 Sorry, I can’t see any categories on the sidebar, do you have a link for that? Or you have changed your mind?
#4 Use the custom CSS below to overwrite that.
dl.geodir-tab-head dd.geodir-tab-active a { border-top: 1px #45B8F2 solid; }
#5 To shorten the excerpts, go to GD > Design > Listing > Description word limit
Let us know how it goes.
Hi Curt,
It’s hard to tell without seeing the backend and doing some inspecting. Do you think you can share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look? You can post the details here using the private reply option below. Also, could you tell us a little bit more about the damaged “Add Listing” page? Do you mind sharing a screenshot of the issue there?
Thanks!
Hi there,
I’ve just checked your translation files and it looks like you’ve not inserted it into the correct location. If you refer to this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/ , it clearly states that you have to insert it into the /wp-content/languages/geodirectory/ folder . I’ve just made the required changes for you and it seems to work now. Could you please check on it?
Thanks!
This reply has been marked as private.Hi Ding Hua,
You need to install the “Advanced Search” addon to enable the Geolocation feature. If you’ve installed it, enable this option as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/cj3blv . Also, please make sure you have SSL activated on your Website if you need this feature to work.
Thanks!
Hi Michael,
I’m sorry for the misunderstanding. I’ve just checked with our developer and the reason the reviews ratings are not displaying on this page http://hauntedvenueadvisor.com/places/united-kingdom/south-yorkshire/sheffield/hauntedforge/wortley-top-forge/#reviews is because you did not add the category “haunted forge” into the rating category as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/cipvx5 . Could you please check on it?
Thanks!
Hi Jopa,
I’ve just checked your Website and it looks like you’ve been customizing your Website with custom CSS using a child theme. There is some custom CSS code you’ll have to make some changes to fix the issue you have there.
Here’s how you can reduce the size of the listing images.
.geodir-post-img { width: 80%!important; }
Use this custom CSS to fix the sidebar issue.
.geodir-home div.clearfix.geodir-common div#geodir_content { width:60% !important; margin-left:5%; }
Hi there,
I believe we can use custom CSS to achieve this. Do you mind sharing the URL of the site in question so we can take a look at it and see if it’s possible using just custom CSS to achieve what you needed there?
Thanks!
Hi Clay,
Thanks for sharing the credentials. I’ll try to answer your questions accordingly.
#1 Unfortunately, there is currently no way you can “auto zoom” to a particular city or location.
#2 Try using this http://autisminsights.org/directory/places/united-states/ny/binghamton/ and I’m also getting results when I search for “binghamton”
http://prntscr.com/cingar#3 Here’s what you can do here, set the marker cluster to use serverside clustering or limit the default “ticked” categories and only display a few categories on the map.
