Just had my geodirectory site fail slowly and surely… got slower and slower, social import stopped working, map stopped showing so I’ve just renewed membership to get hold of the latest and greatest versions of everything.
Came across this post and installed the https://wpgeodirectory.com/geodir_x_force_update_1.0.2.zip as I didn’t get the option to upgrade to the latest.
I now can’t get into my plugins page to deactivate it.
When I go to my site/wp-admin/plugins.php it now just comes back with: “currently unable to handle this request.”
Any suggestions as to how I can get in and deactivate the plugin? I’ve tried the plugin/edit link which shows the list, but as soon as I select the Force Update plugin from the list, I get the the same result – a blank page.
Site is looking miserable now, so would appreciate any assistance.
Thanks
Thanks Paolo!
Thanks Paolo. Whenever I do any site/seo rankings they are always complain about the alt’s not being there.
When I look at the source for the ones on the summary boxes, they don’t seem to be there.
Martin…
Ok, so I simply removed the value from the “Limit squared distance area to X miles (helps improve search speed)” in the search settings and it’s all working as I’d expect now. ;o)
All sorted now, I believe… Thanks to https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
So, not sure if this is the best way to attack this, but it appears to be nice neat and working fine – certainly for any updates.
Just in case it helps anyone else…
I added the Code Snippet Plugin and added the following code (see image).
Appreciate knowing if this is a reasonable workaround.
Am I being silly?
Do I not just need a filter for gdfi_post_to_facebook and change the criteria?
Stiofan,
Struggling with the codex, I’m afraid. Is there actions I could hook onto to when a post is added, updated or claimed so I could automate this?
Thanks Stiofan. I’ll give that a go.
Much appreciated!
Thanks Simone. i thought that was the case.
Just need to get my posting to Facebook sorted now ;o(

if I wanted to add a filter to swap out the price section, how do I find out which one is appropriate?
It would be nice to do this via a filter first, I think.
Thanks
