here is my snaglist with some ideas / notes /questions I came up with during my first test. some of it is maybe a general question, not only custom_post_type specific.
if one of these questions is wrong in this topic, please can you point me to a better topic where I can ask the question?
sorry for so many questions and opinions:

1) Schema Type (Category) needs an update or custom option

2) Link Place
– Fill in Businessdata, makes no sense for burger/food.
– would it be possible to link the Place automatically? like with the franchiseplugin?

3) Can I create a sub listing (burger) from the place detail page ?
– or link from there to the add burger page and give a variable in the URL?

4) Business Owner/Associate? this should be the same as the parent
5) Adress should be the same as the parent

6) Is it possible to have multiple taxonomies ?
– before we had taxonomies:
– Bun
– Plain White
– Sesame
– Chiabata
– Pattie
– Beef
– Pork
– Chicken
– Etc.

– Also the Tags was visible in a dropdown list. or input field with autocomplete.

7) I turned of adress in the config. but still in the burger detail page I see the map tab, of course with a wrong place. can I turn this off? just for the burger detail page.

8) would it be possible to auto link parent place adress and map and also make a link to the parent ?

9) in the parent page… how do I show all child posts ? the burgers ?
(NEVER MIND … just found it. just the add new burger to this place button is missing)

10) permalink:
/burgers/united-states/california/west-hollywood/fany-pants-burger/spiesburger/
should be:
/burgers/united-states/california/west-hollywood/[VENUE-NAME]/fany-pants-burger/spiesburger/

11) if I add a new post to a custom post, it should be visible in the buddy press activity stream
– also it should be visible under my listings

12) post to Facebook, should include parent information

13) how can I separate the design options for place and burger detail page ?

14) how can I include the burger listing on my frontage? it does not show up.

15) how to disable Overall Rating on burger ?
the overall rating should be an average from all individual ratings
it makes no sense to give an overall rating 5 stars and all individual ratings are at 1 star. 🙂 Iam not talking of the over overall rating, I am talking about the overall rating of one rating post.

16) I like to have parent name in the title of detail page

are you serious? I mean this hell of a support 🙂
if I can choose, I would prefer the solution of stiofan. having a new custom posttypes plugin with extendet possibilites… would be a 100% match.

this would be a solution for all issus. even for the rating forms.

and for a 110% solution the permalink structure would be something like:

http://domain.com/venuename/burgername
or
http://domain.com/parent/child

in this solution there is one last thing to have in mind.
having duplicated names.
I mean every burgerjoint in the world has a cheeseburger 🙂

so maybe the slug needs to be venue-burgername, insted of cheeseburger-32 🙂

no realy, if somone on your side is willing to help… this would be the absolute kickstart, more rocketlaunch for the burger world tour.

I would be proud (if you like) to put a wpgeodirectory logo in the footer and include you guys in the ongoing history of the project.

also you will have a new customer for the next years. subscribing to the yearly membership. as long the burgerworldtour exists.

and in this case I would wait more than a week.
and would be happy with everything.
even a unstable, userunfrindly alpha version, to start filling the database with burger and with venues.

but starting with adding venues today should be ok? or should I wait?

also during waiti g I could translate the missing german for wpdirectory if you like.
