I believe the problem is due to the custom post type used gd_event, created with the custom post types add-on. There is an add-on especially for events, with dates and also recurring events.

I don’t know if the map gets confused by the missing data.

yes, export custom post type Alpha from GeoDirectory >> import/export.

Change the post_type of the listing you want to move to Beta.

Re-import to update listings.
