1) list view is inteded for the content area only. You should use grid 2 columns and add 100 to width in the widget to make it look better.

Otherwise they can be hidden with css, but we’d need a link to provide it.

2) If you mean removing the margins, that will remove it from the entire sidebar and will make other elements look bad.

we avoid using the media library because it creates an attachement entry in the wp_post table for each image entered plus one for each image size.

Considering we created GD to work with hundreds of thousands of listings (if not millions), each potentially with more than one picture, it would make no sense to add that many posts in the database. It would make it huge for no reason.
