Hi Jesse,
the problem was the ‘ in front of the default city name.
Removing it or changing it to the conventional html code for the apostrophe
'made it work.
Hopefully there are not that many city names starting with an apostrophe.
Let us know if this helps.
Thanks
or you could create a custom fields for it…
Thanks
Hi,
it is always better to use a child theme, so you can customize your website without worrying about losing them after updates.
Thanks
You are welcome 🙂
Hi,
it really depends, for example if you want to hide the sidebar in the /places/ listings page you would need this css:
.post-type-archive-gd_place .x-main.left {width: 100%;} .post-type-archive-gd_place .x-sidebar {display:none;}You should be able to check this things with firebug or chrome developer tools: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
Hope this helps.
Hi,
no this is not possible with available options.
Sorry about it.
Thanks
Hi,

hi,
we are not talking about a caching plugin for wordpress here, but a server side cache system. If it was disabled, GeoLocation should start working as well, however GoDaddy caching system cannot be disabled as far as I know. You really need to move to another hosting plan.
Thanks
Sorry Bob,
I must have seen a cached page.
I’ve flagged this for the developers. They’ll let us know asap.
Thanks for your patience,

Hi,
the free plugin only allows to submit listing in the default location.
You will need the MultiLcoations add-on to be able to create a Country wide directory.
Thank you!
Hi,
thanks for spotting this, I’ve flagged it for the developers.
They’ll fix it asap.
You can’t do this with this theme, the structure of the header is different.
It would require a lot of tweaking with css.
This go beyond support.
Thanks
