Hi Matt,
no you shouldn’t disable WP Easy Updates as wrongly suggested. That plugin has been developed especially to speed up the plugins and updates pages of WordPress and it shouldn’t behave like that.
I flagged your request for a developer who will look into your problem as soon as possible.
Please provide wp admin and FTP credentials and we will follow up.
Thanks
No you can’t. Thanks
Hi Rafaela,
if you remove your custom code, the advance search add-on will work perfectly. If the advance search is adding something to your custom code, it is because your developer didn’t do a good job and presumably copied some markup that shouldn’t have copied.
It is your custom code creating problems, not the other way around.
Thanks
glad I could help 🙂
I have no idea which one is responsible, but that’s a good finding, at least we have something to work on now.
It’d be great if you could provide wp admin and ftp credentials of both live and staging site so that we can check directly.
Let us know,
Thanks
Please update all your plugins 1st and we’ll follow up if the problem persists.
Let us know when you are done.
ThanksYou are welcome and have a good evening too! 🙂
Yes you are correct.
Thank you
ok, please provide a link and admin credentials please, there must be a conflict with something else.
Thanks
There were 2 blank spaces in the API field before the actual key.
Thanks
username?
did you generate it from within GeoDirectory?
What I need is a link to your website and admin credentials in a private reply.
Thanks
p.s. i set your last reply as private too, you odn’t want ppl to use your API keys.
Did you generate the maps API key through the GeoDirectory > Design > Map > Generate API key button?
If yes, please provide a link and admin credentials and we will check if there isn’t a conflict with another plugin.
If not, please try that, because API keys from your previous projects may not have all Google API enabled that GeoDirectory needs.
Let us know how it goes,
Thanks
The show in what location of all our websites and all other members (thousands) where not affected as far as I know, so it is highly unlikely that the problem was caused by a bug in our code.
Your database could be corrupted or some other plugin could be causing havoc.
Don’t you have a back up?
1st golden rule to manage a website successfully is to make a daily back up. If you love risk and don’t take it daily, at least take it before running any updates or code changes. This is website development ABC.
Second golden rule is : Work on a staging website, never work on a live website, so that if you encounter problems on the staging website, you can fix them 1st, before bringing them over to the live website.
Because you have a staging website, why were you not working on it?
I flagged this for Stiofan to see if he can guess what could have caused this, but without being able to recreate a problem it is almost impossible to identify it.
Hi,
that happens because you probably don’t have a wide enough radius in your GeoDirectory > general > search
If for example you have 40 miles (the default), it will only return listings that are within 40 miles from the center of Florida.
Florida is 361 miles (582 km) by 447 miles (721 km)
Setting a radius of 447 miles will be enough to make it include all listings in Florida.
Let us know if that was the prolem.
Thanks
