HI Steven,
as I reply in your other post, we would need wp admin credentials to have a look.
You can include them in a private reply.
Please avoid opening multiple topics for the same problem. We read them all and 1 is enough.
Thanks

December 15, 2014 at 7:25 pm in reply to: Uploaded listings being set as Paid , not Free listings #24413Hi Bob,
I’m not making a big deal about the antisplog plugin, I’m just saying that personally I’d never suggest anyone to use it.
Given that Wanguard for my experience, creates all sorts of problems, I tried to disable it and I forgot to re-enable it. I apologize for that.
But if you ask me, I would never use that plugin.
For the fake upgrade problem I think I was finally able to track it down.
I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for allowing to spot this.
Thx
This reply has been marked as private.Hi,
the problem occurs only with Genesis and was discovered recently.
If you replace the file geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/map-functions/get_markers.php with the file attached (must unzip before replacing via ftp), it should solve your issue.
The new version will include this fix.
Let us know,
Hi Tom,
at the moment we are too busy for custom work. Any good freelance developer can create one though, there is no need to wait for us to be able to take on custom works.
You can pass to your preferred developer the stripe addon to see how it was developed and it should get the big picture quite quickly.
Using woocommerce as payment manager wouldn’t be a viable option.
Thanks
December 15, 2014 at 6:12 pm in reply to: Uploaded listings being set as Paid , not Free listings #24398That is not possible. Have you tried? If you change price package all fields are emptied and you have to start over.
We use no plugins to prevent sploggers, a good re-captcha should be more than enough.
BTW I prefer to clean up 25 sploggers per day than making it hard for my real visitor to register and use the website.
The only solution is to get a faster server.
The tabs being managed via JS will load after the script is loadedd and the script is loaded in the footer, so the longer it will take to load the rest, the longer it will take for the tabs to load.
Thx
This reply has been marked as private.Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 is not an error is a warning that won’t prevent the application from working and it shouldn’t be disaplyed on your front end. It should only be logged in the error log.
Add this to your functions.php:
error_reporting(E_ERROR);Thx
December 15, 2014 at 4:41 pm in reply to: Uploaded listings being set as Paid , not Free listings #24389Hi,
I have never suggested Wanguard to anyone and I never will. If one of the team here did, please let me know where and I will delete the suggestion.
In my opinion, using that plugin to protect a website from spam, is like using an H bomb to protect a bicycle from being stolen. Nobody will steal it, but eventually it will blow up with it.
I never used it and never will.
As far as free listings with paid listing features being used, there is no way to do it, other than going to paypal and go back to the website without actually paying.
BUT in that case the listing will be placed in draft.
Are you finding this listing in draft or published?
Thanks
Hi Nipp9,
most complex plugins are not compatible with most themes out of the box.
Woocommerce, buddypress, bbpress will be compatible only with themes using a default html5 structure, which is.
<!DOCTYPE HTML> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>Your Website</title> </head> <body> <header> <nav> <ul> <li>Your menu</li> </ul> </nav> </header> <section> <article> <header> <h2>Article title</h2> <p>Posted on <time datetime="2009-09-04T16:31:24+02:00">September 4th 2009</time> by <a href="#">Writer</a> - <a href="#comments">6 comments</a></p> </header> <p>Pellentesque habitant morbi tristique senectus et netus et malesuada fames ac turpis egestas.</p> </article> <article> <header> <h2>Article title</h2> <p>Posted on <time datetime="2009-09-04T16:31:24+02:00">September 4th 2009</time> by <a href="#">Writer</a> - <a href="#comments">6 comments</a></p> </header> <p>Pellentesque habitant morbi tristique senectus et netus et malesuada fames ac turpis egestas.</p> </article> </section> <aside> <h2>About section</h2> <p>Donec eu libero sit amet quam egestas semper. Aenean ultricies mi vitae est. Mauris placerat eleifend leo.</p> </aside> <footer> <p>Copyright 2009 Your name</p> </footer> </body> </html>As soon as you go out of that html structure (and most themes do), the plugin output will look misplaced.
In fact, for these plugins, themes author must add the plugin templates inside their themes and adapt them to make their them work with each plugin.
The same goes with GeoDirectory, it was built so that it can work with all themes, but not all themes will be able to display its output out of the box.
The biggest difference between GD and the above plugin is that being GD so new, not that many themes have been made 100% compatible yet.
Jupiter theme is one of them and will need you (or it’s author or anyone you assign the task to) to tweak it to work with GD in case you wish to use it.
Otherwise it would be a good idea to chose a theme that has been already made compatible, or GDF that was built especially to work with GD.
Thanks
thx Simo, Stiofan is looking into it…
Hi,
Yelp has it’s own tab to enter API details in the addon admin page.
For the Catchable fatal error we need more details on where and when that error is shown. Wp Admin credentials to test on your website would be also useful.
Thx
