Hi,
all templates can be copied in a folder named geodirectory, in the active theme folder. The plugin will start using them instead of the orginal files, so that you can modify them as you like.
As far as changing the virtual pages names, we are working to find the best way to do that.
Possibly, by doing something like buddypress does, allowing to select the page that you want to use for each needed template.
We hope to come out with a solution for this asap.

in GeoDirectory > Design > Navigation, Event should be selected for:
Allow post type to add from frontend
and
Show add listing link in add listing navigation

For each CPT is using the singular name. Only for the default CPT “places”, the label remain places and in that case you can modify it via po file.

To answer to your question, obviously not, that plugin only allows to create login, register and edit profile forms through shortcodes, as the plugin description clearly explains.

it creates forms using shortcodes.
I haven’t tested it with GD directly, but I use the pro version on other websites and I’m pleased with it.
I don’t see why it shouldn’t work. Just create a page Edit Profile and use only the shortcode for it.
Than you will need to add a link to that page somewhere to allow users to actually visit the form.

Gd doesn’t provide that option, but there are several plugin providing what you are looking for.

the event slug can be changed via Custom Post Types admin page.
The location switcher problem is specific to your monitor. I don’t see that problem on my laptop. You can increase the “-60px” in the css that I gave you previously until you see it as you wish.
No, changing permalinks will change all URLs.
