Yes, it’s an addon called GeoLocation. You can download it from your profile page, where you downloaded all other plugins and themes.

To remove facebook, twitter and so, you don’t really need to modify the code of the templates. Everything can be done via the prices and payments addon.
You can create different packages and for each decide which of the default fields are visible and which are not.

you are running 1.1.3 with the old location manager 1.0.4. You need to Update the location manager to 1.0.5 to work with the latest version of GD.
yoursite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=geodirectory&tab=auto_update_fields please enter your correct credentials here. username should be celestinaadams and password the one used to access this forum.
Than go to Dashboard >> Updates and update the location manager.
Once all updated it should work as expected.
@stever, I guess you have the same problem, but I can’t tell unless I see your website and possibly your back end, for which I’d need credentials. You can send them in a private reply.

I replied to the topic you opened about the registration problem. Let’s continue there to keep the discussion on topic.
As far as email confirmation on registration, wordpress by default doesn’t provide that option. It only sends the password to the user and requires to login. We avoided the 2 step to make registration faster and incentivate listing submissions. If I remember correctly, wordpress multisite adds email confirmation to the registration process. But I’m positive wordpress single site doesn’t.
There are various plugins that will add the email confirmation feature to your website, but I’m not 100% sure they will work out of the box with GD:

Would you please see if any of them would work as desired? If not we will look into an integration with the most popular of them.

Hi Zeb,
for some strange reason, on your website user are redirected to the right page after sign in, but without the necessary url variable to make it work correctly.
It is redirecting here:
http://wpgeo.directory/add-listing/
while it should redirect here:
http://wpgeo.directory/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place
if you manualy add ?listing_type=gd_place to your url you’ll see the correct form and you can see the normal behavious of the plugin in our demo.
Now to solve your issue… do you have any plugin installed other than GD and its addons? One dealing with redirects, permalinks or security could be a culprit.
If you do, could you please disable them one by one to see if the problem goes away.
If it doesn’t, we would need to have a look at both your backend and possibly FTP. In that case would you please send us a link to your website, wp admin and ftp credentials in a private reply to this topic?
We will have a look asap.

Hi,
1) when a visitor comes to your site, he will be directed to the default location (or everywhere if you decided so).
2) If through the location switcher they change location, they set a session. The hope page of the website will show listings for that location only, until the user doesn’t switch back to another location (and set another session) through location switcher or breadcrumb links. Or until the session is cleared (browser windows closed or leave the website to visit another website and than visit back the directory).
3) Once session is cleared, back to point 1
Each location has a unique URL too:
http://wpgeo.directory/location/ (everywhere or location in session)
http://wpgeo.directory/location/united-states/
http://wpgeo.directory/location/united-states/illinois/
http://wpgeo.directory/location/united-states/illinois/chicago/
http://wpgeo.directory/location/united-states/new-york/
http://wpgeo.directory/location/united-states/new-york/new-york/All accessible via breadcrumb links or location switcher.
Google doesn’t see these as duplicates because of breadcrumb difference.

I see only events showing as CPT for that map and you only have 1 place but no events.
If you go in GeoDirectory > Design > Map, do you have any CPT and categories checked?
If yes, please untick them and the map will work again.
@Vikas, another customer reported a similar problem and he’s positive he didn’t touch Design> map options. Can you please double check that it isn’ìt the plugin update to modify those options?

just FYI, fontawseome can be used with custom fields, not in google maps. In google maps you can only use png images for now. FOntawesome is not supported.
We are looking into other solution for vectorial google maps markers, but at the moment only images can be used.
