Can you give me an example of a search that doesn’t work (URL), cause I’m on your website testing and I can’t seem to replicate the error.
ThxHi Nasc,
I don’t see a link to the add listing form?
Can you please also send wp admin credentials? So i don’t ahve to buy a membership… 🙂
Thanks
Hi Robert,
Vikas is testing on a test server of ours. If you wish to send your credentials, you can do that here, by flagging the reply as private. It will appear in light blue and only moderators will be able to see its content.
Thank you
to add a new menu item you will go to Appearance >> Menu and continue from there.
Thx
Hi,
we are testing all new version to release them tomorrow or saturday the latest.
Thanks for your patience, the best way to help us is to report anything you find that doesn’t work, confident that we will fix it.
It is in our best interest too.
Thanks,
glad you solved!
Hi dededadou,
it seems like share this is not behaving correctly in our demo too. I’ve flagged this for the developers to look at.
Thanks,
Hi,
to work with a greater area you will need to install the multilocation addon.
To get the icons back, I’d delete dummy data and re-upload it. Something probably went wrong while downloading them from our server.
Thx
If Vikas can fix the last bug and Stiofan finish testing probably both new core, multilocation and geolocation will be released tomorrow or saturday.
Sorry about the delay, but we decided to do some big changes. Saturday if everything goes smooth we also release the compatibility packs for the 3 themeforest multipurpose themes
thx
yes, correct
for example… Geolocation won’t work either.
Apparently they started supporting seesion. That’s new.
Until not too long ago they were suggesting to use cookies instead for security reasons. If Sessions won’t be saved, Multi Location will not work properly. As simple as that…
All messages can be customized in GeoDirectory >> Notifications, you will need WPML plugin to do it multilanguage.
Thx
BTW, just to share my 2 cents…
I’d personally never use any kind of WP managed hosting, because it forces my app to adapt to their server structure instead of the server structure adapting to the needs of my application.
I’d use it for a normal blog. Not for anything else.
We personally use dedicated servers hosted in Germany by Hetzner, we have a pro guy managing the servers and giving us all the support we need for a monthly fee. He adapts the architecture to our applications needs. We have nginx and fastcgi installed, he makes daily backup and keeps the server super secure and we all have full acccess to everything anytime.
1 big server providing a lot more power than WP Engine (we have 24GB of ram and plenty of powerful bandwidth and storage space) plus the guy giving us a service that customer of WP Engine enjoyed only the very 1st months they opened, we pay it a bit more than what WP Engine costs…
Consideering than Hetzner offer powerul cheap VPS and that the cost for a server tech like ours for a VPS is much less than for a dedicated, this would be my preferred choice if I we didn’t have that many websites.
Cheers,
Wp Engine will give you problems with GD. Unfortunately they don’t support PHP sessions and GD relies on sessions only for multilocation purpouses.
