You cannot update a theme that is already installed by uploading it via theme options.

You need to upload it via FTP to overwirte old files.

Otherwise please use a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/

in settings > reading, you set the listing preview page as the blog page. You should select the blog page for that (you should create it if you don’t have it already).

only the widget will show only featured listing, if they click the view all, they view them all, both featured and none.
