Thanks Vikas, that fixes it!
Hi Vikas,
I’m not using city selection in permalinks, I don’t have the location switcher enabled.
My site does not allow city selection or changing – I disabled them because, as mentioned previously selecting a city locks the site into that city until the location switcher is used to select “everywhere”. I think this will confuse users – it confuses me! As requested previously, “Everywhere” should be reset when the home page is selected.
I don’t want city filtering at all – how do I remove it completely?
Great work Vikas!
Doh!
I see that I have already seen the answer to this…

Can I suggest you add this as standard to the GD install, must be plenty of people who want to do this?
Hi Guust, No, I want them back 🙂
Somehow or other I lost the ability to add reviews to listings, not sure if it was something I did, or a bug in GD – either way, I can now add reviews again!
Seems to be caused by this rule in style.css. The footer becomes visible when you hit a tab with not much to display.
#geodir_wrapper .geodir-sidebar-main {
padding-top: 10px;
}
* {
box-sizing: border-box; /*<<<—*/
}I can confirm this. If you add the Popular Post Category plugin to the “New Post Sidebar” it displays the default heading.
I’ve created a new test site with all the latest plugins as at 2014-05-21 and the review option is back again.
@Vikas, maybe you can remove the link which manni wanted private? 😉
Seems to be working here OK – FF 29.0.1
Paolo &/or Vikas, can you please create a “Tips”, FAQS, page somewhere for GD where useful tidbits like this can be placed and found more easily?
Thanks Guust, I’ll give it a try!
Neither can I <g> – I can’t add reviews in 1.0.3!
Not sure if the upgrade broke them, or I have something not enabled that should be?
Thanks Vikas, working now in 1.0.3!
Thank you Vikas,
Yes, the error messages no longer appear.
I still don’t like the filtering that applies when “Add location slug in listing urls” is checked in the “Permalinks” option, so I won’t be using that.
The appearance of the “Location” selector is improved, depending on the theme in use – looks OK in 2012, not so good in other themes I have tested.
