Hmm, i tried Chrome and, like you, didn’t see the bars to the left.
Does this mean what i see is caused by my browser?
Thank you for shifting to transparent stars in the future.
Do you have a comment on 3)?
Regarding the stars, yes, but my question was why did you change they style of stars? Did they have some advantage over the old style?
Another question, how come you changed from the stars in the documentation?
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multiratings-and-reviews-add-on-overview/
1) Ok, thanks for the guidance.
3) same.
4) Ok, but shouldn’t transparent backgrounds be standard in GD? Do some people want to see white backgrounds in their rating stars?
Hi Patrik
Thanks for fixing the duplicate stars issue.
However i’d like to report a few other things:
1) I have a completely different rating style chosen as Default in the Multiratings settings ie sun, not stars.
2) Products with pictures show a small vertical bar to the left of stars on the archive page. You can see the bar in my first attachment.
3) This is not really a rating issue, but products without pictures don’t have picture placeholders, thereby putting reviews without pictures out of alignment with other products. See my second attachment.
4) Stars on the detail (product) page have a white, rather than transparent background. See my third attachment.
That is, my Archive page was defaulting to the Gold Coast, not all regions.
EDIT: Scratch this post. I didn’t notice that my listing was defaulting to the location i’d used before.
Actually, i forgot about the test product you’d created.
I don’t know whether this is part of the design issues you raised, but that product doesn’t appear on the Archive pages, and therefore neither does its review.
Yes, looks ok now.
Thanks for raising this issue.
Yes, all approved reviews appear on the respective product pages, but NOT on the products (listings) page ie where all products are listed.
One of the reviews shows there, but that’s it.
I also approved your comment. It doesn’t appear on the products page (not the page for the specific product). In fact, the product you created doesn’t appear there either.
I agree, pending comments are now appearing on the Dashboard.
However i have two approved comments. One appears on the listings (product) page, but one doesn’t (for Chia Deli Crisps). If you go into the product page you can see the review.

Thanks for raising the issue of how stars appear.
You say that “to moderate review you will need to adjust the settings in WP – Settings – Discussion.”
I allowed people to post comments on new articles when i first set up GD, what other settings need to be made?
I tried following your link but it didn’t work when i tried.
Also, when i created reviews as an unregistered user, completing the review took me back to a blank review page. There was no message confirming my review had been submitted.
Is there a setting that forces all users to log in or register before leaving a review?
Further, although i thought that once i approved reviews they appeared on the listings page, this doesn’t necessarily seem to be the case.
At this point, i have 2 approved reviews. One of them appears on the listings (products) page, but one only shows when you go into the reviews section for that product.
Scratch what i said in my previous post about reviews not appearing on the main lisings page. That was due to the reviews not being approved. Once they were approved, they showed.
However unapproved ratings don’t appear on the Dashboard’s Pending Reviews.
Ok, i get it.
Ok, i will keep addresses and use Open Maps as you originally set up.
Thank you, Kor.
That was a very simple fix. Once i looked at the existing menu under Appearance, all i had to do was change the description!
