Guust as to the map icons, they are really category icons then? And visible, even when not using a map?

I am thoroughly confused now.
Alex, I do not see the option “Disable Location” in the settings of the various CTPs I have. In v1 it wasn´t there either.
Guust, you are talking about Location Manager. Earlier in this thread you mentioned that I needed to add CPT in order to be able to disable physical location. So I do not understand why I need to have Location Manager added now. Is this a v2 thing?

I already have Custom Post Types installed.
I cannot go to CTP. I can go to GeoDirectory and there is a tab Post Types in it, but no settings. Within GeoDirectory I can go to Settings, General, Advanced, but I don´t see Disable Physical Location. I am in Corev2. Is it named differently there?
And why would I need to add a map icon, if I do not use a map or a physical location?

Also I have to add a Map Icon to each listing. Without it, it will not save.
OK I have installed all the V2 versions, addons, themes etc. Finding CoreV2 not as intuitive as V1.
Anyway, I am running some tests to see if the Custom Post Type add on, works the way I had in mind. When adding listings, I have to add an address to the listing. My directory however, is a non-physical directory. Can I remove the mandatory address somehow?
In the link that Guust shared, https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-general/#physical it says something about disabling physical location. I seem to recall doing so in V1, but in V2, I do not see such an option, although I could be overlooking it. In advanced GD Settings I selected Disable map.

When on the V2 page https://wpgeodirectory.com/try-geodirectory-v2/ it lists all the addons and the themes on the bottom. The links of the themes however, do not go to the links you listed. They go to my account page instead.

As I am such a newbie to this, I am wondering if v2 will not give me any problems. Since it is not the final version.
Alex, I had the same question. Do I understand it correctly if I interpret your answer as that if there are no listings that use the CPT Places, it will not show?

I have purchased the add on. There are two zip files there. If I interpret correctly one for GDv1 and the other one for GDv2.
Is v2 a newer version of the Core plugin?
Thanks Kor. I do not want users to create a business listing, so I do not need that option. Was confused because the set up says you HAVE to check that option for the system to work properly. Properly is a relative term I guess.
