I made a simple transposing error on the last import. All of the other times, I was using the listing example. I accidentally used the categories one on the last attempt. I a trying to take from one live system and work into another, so each time I do it, I have to take a fresh copy.

    I will figure it out.

I have tried it with and without the header. I just did again (with the header) and got the same error.

    Total 89 item(s) found.
89 / 89 item(s) could not be added due to blank/invalid address(city, region, country, latitude, longitude).
89 / 89 item(s) could not be added due to blank title/invalid post type.

The address fields are all filled-in.
The titles and post types are also all filled in.

I have spent over 3 hours trying to get less than 100 places with 21 categories imported. I have not had an ounce of success. Joel is right. It should NOT be this hard. I am working with a raw text editor (BBEdit), and still cannot get a single import to work. I have messed with file encoding, line endings and everything else I could think of that would cause errors. Maybe if the error descriptions actually fit the error, it would be different.

How in-depth are the shortcodes for functionality? Being able to display records based upon category or tag would be incredibly useful. In some case, displaying by grid would be good, but others a list would be good as well. Shortcodes are cool, but are also sometimes very limiting. I will look forward to seeing what you are building. Thank you again for the time.

No problem. Life happens. Thank you for looking into it. I have another question for you, but if needed, I can report as a separate ticket.

Enfold theme now includes a module for dropping an event list from another plug-in (Tribe’s Event Calendar Pro). It is very minimal at the moment, but is the first case of plug-in usage being directly callable from the theme. What would the feasibility of this functionality be for GeoDirectory? It would definitely be a way to harness all that your plug-in does, while allowing for more flexible use in layouts. Also, it would definitely be worth paying for. In our cases, I think it would be worth as much as the theme for each site. The more functionality, the more sites we would use it with.

    Understood.

What happens if the naming is turned off on GD? Would it be possible for those areas to then slide in with the rest that are numbered?

I am trying to find a way to keep both together, so I am looking for ways to work around this problem. If you had to do it, how would you accomplish it?

We tried both methods. Seems to slide everything up or down in the order.

What I need is to be able to add, remove or change widgets. In this case, the bulk of the widgets are holding menus and breadcrumbs. If you look at the front end of the site, you can see some in action.

If I deactivate the plug-in, it changes the order. If I re-activate it, sometimes it links them back up in order, sometimes it moves one of the widget areas to the disabled and then every widget ends up in the wrong area. If you look at each of the widget areas in the admin, you can see they are all off, again. I keep fixing these, but through the course of trying to figure it out, they keep shifting.

What bothers me is that I just don’t know if I can hand this off to a client and be assured the widgets will stay intact and in the proper areas. The only time I have ever had a problem with this is with GeoDirectory. I understand that it might be bigger than this, but how are others getting this to work properly?

My question to you: Would you hand this off to a client that is eagerly awaiting it and feel comfortable? Would you feel confident that in the due course of daily activities, it will stay running correctly?

Actually, I did what you said by removing everything, activating and re-dragging all the widgets back (each bar included several widgets. Everything looked like it worked, but then I made a change to one and everything went back out of alignment again. It appears that no changes can take place in the widgets or sidebars or it gets messed up again.
