Hi Dirk,

They would not store things in the same way that we do so would not be able to filter by location like we do, i have not checked but i imagine they would not scale like we do either.
There is a big difference between a contact form and a CPT.

I don’t see this ever happening TBH, however we will be re-writing events for v2 and you and everyone will be able to have their say and input to improve it.

(Things we are removing and adding 3rd party compatibility for are non directory related features.)

For v1 the api is a plugin: https://github.com/GeoDirectory/geodir_api
For GDv2 it will be in core.

2.0.0.8-beta released.
The idea is to clear the v2 bugs and then work on the v1 releases, we are a man down for a few days but hopefully v1 releases should be end of this week or maybe next.
