It depends on what you are testing, i just clone the DB, its only files i need to change on the dev site, is this not the case with you too?

You have serialized data which is length specific..Do it again but only replace two items in the DB file
1. site_url
2. home
These will likely be the first couple of options in the wp_options table.Then u will be able to get in to the site, donwload the plugin “Better search replace” then use that to search for the old url and repalce with the new url, then save your permalinks options to clear any permalink cache and you should be good to go.

I have tried to figure this out but its very strange, i keep getting very different errors and its not consistent. Is your hosting WP specific hosting? If so it might be related to caching, and you should ask to be put on no WP specific hosting.

I believe it depends on the role of the owner of the listing.
Just now we don’t edit the emails at all or send BCC, but maybe we should only send the notification to admin until its been approved and then notify the listing owner, i’ll talk to Paolo about it.

If you know when you last cloned the site you can export all before that date and import those as overwriting, then do another export after that date and tell it to ignore ID’s this will add the new listings with new ID’s.
