The other missing factor was the “Enable multi cities” option in GeoDirectory -> Settings -> Locations -> Settings. I had it selected as “Enable selected cities”.

Hmmm.. Maybe I’m missing something. So if “Cities are automatically added when adding Places [or other CPT]”, then why do I get the “Please choose any address of the (Auckland,Wellington) regions only.” when trying to add new places which are within the Auckland/Wellington regions as in my example above?
Thanks Guust. That makes sense! My next question then: is it possible to only limit listings by Region instead of by Region & City? Or do I need to manually add in every city in a region for this to work?
