Ok, I went into multilocations and seemed to have figured it out by changing a few things and enabling neighborhoods. I didn’t think to look there as I tend to forget, even after 13 years living in Las Vegas, that it’s technically three cities (Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson with a large unincorporated area which includes The Strip). So that appears ok now along with the duplicate listings. Not sure if you can help with the last bit with the header or not. I can’t do anything within its own settings because the listings page where I’m having the issue isn’t an option there.
No, I actually hadn’t done anything with multilocations. It is for a single metro-area with a number of neighborhoods. When I started putting my spreadsheet together, I created a separate column for neighborhoods. Once I got the software and started adding dummy locations to test it, I noticed Google Maps already does this when you set the location. Nevertheless, my import included a column of data for neighborhoods and my intent was to make these searchable. Search for “Coffee” near “Downtown” for example. It sounds like I should give [gd_location_neighbourhood] a try – where exactly should this be placed?
Thanks,
Jim
I found the post suggesting deleting them 200 at a time in the dashboard, so that’s what I’m doing – but still help with the other bits. Thanks!
Thanks, worked like a charm!
Hi Paolo,
Sure thing. Here’s a link to one of the details page where it shows on the sidebar:
Also, is there a way to have the first line of the address default to the following so that it reads as such:
Address:
5757 Wayne Newton Blvd
Las Vegas
NVThat way everything justifies left and looks cleaner (or perhaps tab the rest of the address lines to match the top line).
Thanks!
I do! Please see attachment: I thought perhaps removing the default $ sign in one of the fields would prevent the $ to show up before pricing as shown. Is there a place/way to remove it? It’s kind of redundant to have it before pricing and then dollar signs after. Thanks!
Wasn’t quite what I was looking for with adding categories, but I got it working this morning using your suggestion to add and then export to see where they were – I just did it with the new form field and it worked. Thanks!
And… we have success! Thanks for the help, Lauren! Much appreciated.
Thanks! I’ve passed it along to my site developer (I’m trying to stay away from editing the files – did that last week for something else and got the white screen of death on several pages.)
Thanks, works perfect. And thanks for the link!
Thanks, that got ride of the thin lines but is it possible to change the grey area bordering around the boxes themselves essentially giving it the appearance of three floating boxes and a button?
This reply has been marked as private.Hi Kor,
It’s currently on the developer’s production server at http://www.appnetprojects.com/wassupin/. Do you need any admin log-in credentials or just the url? That particular page is a cloned, test page here http://www.appnetprojects.com/wassupin/?page_id=417&preview=true. I’ve just been playing around with the layout for look and feel. Thanks!
Ok, I have the custom marker and gave it to my developer last week. I’m afraid at the rate they’re going, I might as well give this a shot myself (they’re going on 3 months putting together a website that should have taken no more than a few weeks). I uploaded the png file to the media library – I’m assuming I need to go into edit plug-ins —-> GeoDirectory Marker Cluster —> but where from there? Am I just changing whatever path to the url? Or am I completely wrong? I’ve been trying to figure a lot of this stuff out on my own (and making progress!), but this one has me running in circles.
Thanks,
Jim
I’ve accomplished ridding the page title and changing the opacity on those pages so I’m off to a good start. I believe I read something about the Metaslider shortcode and where to place it in the editor so I’ll give that a try this weekend (I also saw there’s a plugin that will allow for multiple featured images that will work with sliders, too.)
