The facebook developer issue you link above is marked as resolved as of May 1:
https://developers.facebook.com/status/issues/205942813488872/However, Social importer from FB for events is still not working for me. Can you advise what we need to do? Will you be releasing an add-on update?
Thanks for any info!
I know this is resolved, but to show you what I am doing, I’ve attached a screenshot. (Sorry, see attached image called Tim.png. uploaded wrong screenshot by mistake)
this is an example of the simple HTML I would need to add to the “add event” page. everything else for the tooltip appears in the CSS.
‘<div class=”tooltip”>
<p>If your event is already posted on Facebook, you can import all the details with one click. Paste the Facebook event link here and click import details.</p>
</div>’For people not familiar, I think these form need some guidance for users. I’ll let you know how I make out. thanks again!
Hi Guust!
Thanks. I’ll try working with the translation files.
Alex!! That was it! Thank you so much. working great now.
I have set “featured sort” to active and now it is displaying correctly.
thanks again!
TimothyAwesome! thank you Kiran. works great now.
Hi Alex,
“near me” results work great. No problem at all.My issue is when users selection location only with no geolocation active. it seems to sort Z–>A with no other way to sort.
thanks,
TimothyHi Kiran!
thank you so much. I cleared my cache and the dt tags are now displaying correctly, side by side. thank you for the CSS help.
Items 2 and 3 in my first post above are still an issue however.
I’m still seeing the sprite in the input field and the functionality of the location finder does not seem to work. it still says “please wait….” then comes up with no results for any search.see updated attached screenshot. IN this case I searched for “country->United States”
thanks for any insight.
TimothyHi Kor! thanks for the reply.
I just read the support docs you linked to in detail. thank you!
One thing that is still not clear to me: If I read the support doc correctly… If I search my directory by Location only and start to type New York and then select “New York (City)” from the auto suggest, according to the support documentation, shouldn’t search find the geographical center of NYC (something like central park) and give results from that point? However, I am seeing all of NYC results listed by business name sorted Z–>A. I’m not sure where the Z–>A alphabetical search is coming from.
Is there any way to make a listing “sticky” so that it will always appear at the top of search results? I’m guessing this is not possible?
thanks in advance for any feedback!
TimothyThis reply has been marked as private.Brilliant! Thank you so much. Your outstanding support is very much appreciated!
Hi Alex, I checked out the design options at GC->Design->Search, but none of them addressed my problem. My page layout is fine and only breaks if the user searches using the Category as a search parameter. I’m stumped as to why Category would change the results page layout in that way.
thanks!
TimothyAwesome. Thank you so much!!
I’ll give it a try. thanks!
