Nope! We don’t even NEED the map on the home page, but I left it because the site takes so long to even start loading the page that the map is kind of an afterthought. Will removing that map make the individual pages load faster? Is there anything else we can do to speed this thing up even further?

    Hi Jonathan —

Actually, I JUST moved https://harrispreferredproviders.com over to the Supreme theme yesterday – that’s a little more modern. The basics are setup, the theme is installed & nearly configured. It’s building it out & prettying it up a bit that’s going to require work.

Take a look at the site, and let me know what you think. Would LOVE examples of your work & of course a rate guesstimate.

Oh – another question. Is it possible to disable the “Near” location box on the main search page? https://harrispreferredproviders.com/

We just want people to find ANY location by default, because most of our listed vendor services are national, not local.

Sorry, OK the “title” is on the main page, currently “Harris Preferred Providers”

    https://harrispreferredproviders.com/

The “hero” image is on every listing page – so it’s the featured image for the post, but it’s BIG up on top of the image. Mine are a little pixelated, trying to figure out how to make it less pixelated. We’re using screenshots of other sites, so I need to find a way to also make them stand out so that they don’t look like actual websites (I may use CSS to put a filter over the top of these or something…)

I suspect that the blurring in the featured image comes from WP using a smaller size than the original uploaded photo….for something that large, I would want it to use the original. Then I’ll probably put a 20% dark filter on it so that it doesn’t look like an actual functional web-page itself…
