Hi – thanks, basically a functions.php snippet to disable their call of register_psts_style if its a geodirectory page, I’d share here but I don’t have it on the computer I’m using.

    everything working fine, thanks

turns out to be a javascript conflict with both plugins using the same naming convention.

    register_psts_style

snippet to functions disabled their stuff if it was a geodirectory page

    consider resolved

    thanks

I found a solution via a plugin that works very well at loading/disabling selective plugins, pages, and user agents.

    Stiofan,

this is still causing heartburn, is there any chance to get a copy of gd_update.php that had been installed in order to curtail update requests?

its adding almost 20 seconds to admin dashboard page loading with http requests for geodir

    thanks

I’m wondering if there is a workaround for this – namely – a php function / cron to Not check for updates every hour. that is utter overkill, and while it might seem like it wouldn’t be a resource problem, it actually is. I’ve got a lot of sites. and every time I go to set things up I’m currently needing to go to cloudflare and disable and purge or suffer 20 second page loads in admin.

so… how about Once a Week.. ? once a day even more than needed, but reasonable.

    thanks

it appears to be a cloudflare issue

I disabled and purged cloudflare and the http requests are not being made upon Plugin page refresh

not sure what cloudflare settings/features are going to be compatible

    Hi –

I’ve got recent updates installed and now I’m getting a bunch of http requests and slow admin performace again upon Network Admin > Plugins page load

(and yes I did NOT copy the gd_update.php file you uploaded before autoupdating… oops)

Hi – you worked some magic… mind sharing what it was, I’ve got a bunch of other sites to deal with.

    Thanks

    Hi –

Sorry for the extra work in trying to access because of login/ftp creds snafu(s).

In researching transient sets I’m wondering if this is a multisite issue and not necessarily due to some 3rd party configuration. stackexchange thead has some hints http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/237453/can-set-transient-be-used-in-multi-site in not only the function to use, but the caveat about the length of the transient name

when I look at subsite admin > plugins Query Monitor it shows ‘some’ geodir transients being set – but HTTP requests still firing; and network admin > plugins Query Monitor shows ‘all’ geodir transients sets, but HTTP requests firing also

possibly due to the order things are loading… but I’m am really just guessing

all this is about 3 levels beyond my ability…

    thanks
