Excellent thank you it’s working now.
Back in July, in another support thread, you guys said that on the next release we would be able to auto-populate the address form based on the business selected in this field.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/mapping-events-to-places-during-import/page/2/Has there been a new release since July 4th and if so, is it in there and again if so, how can I get this working please?
Thanks,
DaveHi Kiran,
Thanks so much for that! That’s awesome!
Any chance there are any tags for that shortcode that will adjust the padding to 0 and to underline the link?
Thanks,

Understood, how would we perform a query of this kind using the API?
No that’s not what I need.
I need the actual query syntax to create a custom query for places near a given postcode. So, in other words, I need to create our own set of results like the GD Search does.
I have tried using wp_query but I cannot see how to include geolocation data into the results.
We need them sorted by distance with the nearest first.
Excellent news! Thanks for confirming and getting back to me.
Best wishes.
I have investigated a couple of these, most of them have not been updated in 2 or 3 years, the only one I found that is more recent doesn’t support custom post categories so it doesn’t pick up the categories associated with the listings.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for getting back to me. That’s good to hear. Do you know when this will be confirmed if it’s in the next release or not? I’d really appreciate knowing this as it’s crucial to the development plans.
That tells me how to build a shortcode, I want to extract the information that goes into that shorcode.
For example, I do not want to output the content of the [gd_single_tabs] shortcode, I want to output the contents of just one of the tabs.
Furthermore, I’ve bought your software on the basis that this feature was available as it was listed as being able to link events to places. I think you’d agreed, that it would be pretty safe for anyone to assume that such a standard function would be there when you select a place to link the event to, or why else would it need linking??
I’d appreciate you escalating this and coming back with a resolution and a realistic timescale of when it will be available.
This poses a fundamental problem to the way the search works – these events need to be found based on the location of the place they are linked to, not based on any address details that might be entered for the place listing.
How do we resolve this?
