I am using a theme called Traveller by the way, with the GD framework.
Can I just use an image and link that to a page that would list all articles of a certain category? Is there some sort of shortcode for that?
That worked– thank you Alex!
I do not believe it works to do the multicity settings because the Virgin Islands doesn’t recognize the different areas as “cities” as the rest of the world if that makes any sense. Google Maps doesn’t pick up on the “cities” as “cities” so they do not appear in the dropdown. I think that is why we needed to select them as they were.
Are you saying that I should take that export, and change the listings country from “Virgin Islands” to “US Virgin Islands”, upload that list to the import section, and this will fix it (aka “rebuild the cities with current API values”)?
Lastly, can you show me where I can edit the CPT field settings? This field is supposed to be able to link to an URL, it is not a CPT (unless there is a “post” CPT, which I do not see on my end).
Good morning Kor!
You successfully fixed the issue previously, but the problem is showing up again. I am guessing due to the changes we have made with updating the theme as of late? Can you take a look and let me know? Is there anything I can do to prevent this in the future?
Thank you as always,
AlisonThank you I will give this a go!
Also, now when I add a business to the back end I only have one option for a city per each island and the island “St. Croix” does not come up as an option under US Virgin Islands.
Lastly, the second screenshot shows were I used to be able to add in a businesses link to a blog that was covered on them. Nothing populates or allows me to enter the link?
I think that worked, thank you.
The last one on this screenshot was the test business I just added. You can see that the previous listings were added with “Virgin Islands” as their country, I am looking through all of the listings and this is the case.
I am also getting this duplicate slug notification– should I worry about that?
Hi Alex! Please see Kiran’s post before mine and it makes a little more sense. The majority of the listings are under the broad category of “Virgin Islands” (not US or British) but under the settings–location tab, Virgin Islands is not selected (when I go to add it, it does not even come up as an option)?
Thank you very much!
Alison
Thank you– the map now appears on both the front end and back end but now when I go to add an event only St. John shows up as an option for the US Virgin Islands when it also needs to show St. Thomas and St. Croix then from there the different regions of each island.
Also, if you click on the British Virgin Islands, no islands or regions pop up.
Thank you,
AlisonHi! By no easy feat, I finally was able to get the theme updated as well as all of the plugins, the maps are still not working. Can someone use the login info I have provided already and see what’s going on? I would love to get this resolved so I can properly serve my customers.
Thank you very much!
AlisonThank you for all of your help.
1.) I added the code you send to a code snippets plugin I use
2.) I generated a new key using the GD button and made sure that billing information was associated with that project (created a new project)
3.) I updated all GD Plugins (QUESTION: do ALL plugins need to be updated, or just GD?) I tried to update the theme I use which is called Travelerr and I get an error message that is could not be completed and that I should receive an email with instructions (which does not come). Every time I try to do that, the site also goes into maintenance mode for a little bit.So far I notice no changes, but when I look into console I see that the multiple maps loading error message does not come up.
Thank you as always,
AlisonBlog posts are the issue, not the business listings (which is the example you just sent):
Here’s an example. You will see the blog post title twice:
