I an brand new to all this…I downloaded the mac daddy geodirectory to a folder on my desktop…then I hit add ons new…I then can upload a file but when I click on any of the many folders I have in this download it opens up a zillion files…

I want to do the Framework theme first but there are a bunch to install.

    Thanks

Both themes and plugins are uploaded as ZIP files. You don’t need to extract them on your desktop. Please read the documentation, they are very clear explaining step by step what needs to be done.

    Thanks

I think I see the problem now…I am using a Mac…the files no longer have the extension .zip….because Mac automatically unzips..I tried adding .zip to the file name and that didn´t do anything.

When I read the upload file doc it shows whoop.zip as the file to upload..

For some reason since I moved the downloads to my computer which is what the doc says to do, they are no longer in downloads

Mac doesn’t automatically unzip it, unless you told it to do so.

Make sure you download the zip file and save it (don’t open it), possibly save it on your desktop.

    Than follow the procedure.

    Thank you

    Hi William,

do you have a zip softare installed? http://www.izip.com/

We can’t really give this kind of assistance, you are supposed to be at least familiar with the WordPress environment.

If you can’t handle zip files on your computer I would strongly advise to hire someone to create what you have in mind, or the learning curve could be very very long.

    Thank you

I´m actually moving along pretty well in the set up. I live in a small coastal town in Costa Rica so…is there anyway you could upload the themes and the plug in´s for me ?

I´d be glad to pay Geodirectory or you.
