Allow listing owner to hide address display

    Hello,
    when listing owner is a freelance, it is possible he/she needs to set an influence area address, but not display that “unreal” or private address on listing details (I assume that pin map will be there) .

    Creating a checkbox custom field called “hide address on listing details”, is there a way to hide address when a custom field is checked?

    Hi Jordi

    That is not possible without your own customization, but there is no need to add a specific street address. A user can add anything they like for the street address, and drag the map marker to an approximate location.

    Of course, but there is risk that any website user appears looking for on the “simulated” place.
    Is there any Geodirectory developer reference documentation?

    You can create a Custom Post Type that does not require addresses, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-general/#general

    GD > General > Select CPT to disable physical location

    I know, but the matter is that all the listings require physical location, but some of them need to hide the address on details page.
    A physical location is needed because freelances work on-site (physiotherapists) but they need to establish a service area. Usually they set home address as location in order to stablish influence area, but they don’t want to show home address on details page. Address is needed, but the possibility to hide it on details page could be necessary,

    Sorry, but I still do not understand why they cannot enter their address for example as

    Street Address: My Freelance business name [full address available on appointment]
    City: Los Angeles
    Region: California
    Country: United States

    and then drag the marker to somewhere central in Los Angeles,or somewhere around where they usually see clients.
