Allow users to suggest edit like Yelp ?

    Hello,

    Crowd sourced platforms like Foursquare and Yelp allows users to update or suggest edit the data for all the venues in their databases. I couldn’t find that option on Whoop theme. What will be the best way to implement that ?

    With the Claim Listings addon, users can claim any of your listings as their own. Then they can edit anything you allow them to.

    Actually I want all my members to be able to update the listings. Since Whoop is a Yelp clone, do you have plans to have that feature in future. If not, then I will hire a developer to add it for me. So I just wanted to know where I need to make changes to add that feature, do I need to make changes in the claim listing plugin or make changes in the whoop theme ?

    You can just give your users author access, and give them access to the backend, then they can edit any post.
    GD > General > Allow user to see wp-admin area > YES
    WP Settings > New User Default Role > Contributor or author

    You can also find some user role plugins that may assist.
