Author can't login to backend

    I’ve found that when I’ve got Geodirectory installed, users with role of “author” can’t log in to the backend. Instead of being taken to the wp-admin, the site redirects to the home page of the site. I can’t find how to allow them to have access to the admin.

    Can you tell me if this is a deliberate feature please? And is there anything I can do to continue to have authors with the usual limited access to the admin?

    Have a look at GD > General > Allow user to see wp-admin area > and set to YES
