I followed your instructions for setting up auto update. Added the plugin and added all the license keys.

All my plugins are out of date. WHY!?!?!?!?!

Then you told me to do it with another plugin (manually). Ugh. No way am I manually uploaded six plugins for each update. This is a PAID plugin. I expect auto updates to Work. They don’t!

    Why does it not work?

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for your post and I’m sorry to hear about the problem. Could you please check if you’ve followed the instructions here? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/installing-addons/#updates

We cannot see any license numbers added. Where did you add them?
Please confirm if we can over-write the plugins to check.

    Thanks

I can assure you we added every license. I definitely remember the tedious, time-consuming process of getting to all setup. The copy/pasting of all those license keys, ugh.

And, now when I go to the plugins, there is nowhere left to add the licenses. Let me repeat. WE ADDED THE LICENCES. NOW THERE IS NOWHERE TO PUT THE LICENSE.

So, if you can show me WHERE the super secret hidden place is to put the license codes, we will do it AGAIN.

You have permission to overwrite the plugins. It is obvious they are broken if even YOU can’t find the licenses.

OK, you must have done something, because now ALL your plugins say they need updating. I hope you can explain to me what you did because all the assistance so far has done nothing.

BUT – I tried to update them and got errors for ALL of them. I also have several of your plugins that say “auto update unavailable”.

Let me be clear. This is a “PAID” plugin that does not update, has css issues and a whole bunch of bugs. I could send a support ticket to you every day and still not have all the issues under control.

Can we at least get your so-called “auto updates” to work?

    This is incredibly frustrating!

    Hi Robert,

I am sorry to hear your are frustrated, i get it, we can all get frustrated at times, especially when it comes to computers and code 🙂

All my plugins are out of date. WHY!?!?!?!?!

Then you told me to do it with another plugin (manually). Ugh. No way am I manually uploaded six plugins for each update. This is a PAID plugin. I expect auto updates to Work. They don’t!

    Why does it not work?

Lets just put things into perspective, if auto updates were not working for anyone we would have thousands of complaints, the more likely answer is that there is a conflict with another premium plugin that also has an auto updater and somehow they are preventing our info from showing, this would make sense as you stated you did enter the licences before so its likely this is a plugin you installed AFTER this point that is causing the problem.
Conflicts happen all the time, its how they are dealt with that should warrant your review of our services not simply deciding its our fault and we are the worst people in the world because of a conflict with another plugin…

That being said, the problems i see here are:

    1. Your licence inputs are not showing.
I am very eager to find out why, if you can provide me with FTP details i will find the conflict and try and find a way to resolve it so that it does not affect anyone else.

    2. You are/were frustrated about having to enter individual licences for each product, though this in my opinion is a industry standard (i can’t think of anyone who does not do it this way) we did actually listen to your feedback and a task is currently open to add this exact functionality because of your feedback, this is scheduled for GDv2.1 (after its fully released) https://github.com/AyeCode/geodirectory/issues/275

If you have a problem then we are here to help and we WANT to help we don’t need to be berated into action with “OMG” posts and bad reviews. Our philosophy is very much “you will be treated as you treat us” so lets try and keep this civil and get all your issues resolved 🙂

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

No problems, we have all been there 🙂

Let us help how we can, i’m still very interested in getting to the bottom of the updates conflict, if you can provide FTP details i’ll get to the bottom of it.
I’m just about to finish for the evening but i will take a look on Monday morning if you can provide the details.

    Have a good weekend Robert!

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
