    Hi,

Is there an updated version of this guide,

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/autoptimize-settings/

or is this still relevant as it looks like Autoptimize has changed it’s settings and added more options since this was written?

I’ve noticed a great improvement after turning this on and found the guide very useful, I just want to make sure I’m getting the most from the plugin.

Parts on the CSS section like,

Exclude CSS from Autoptimize: admin-bar.min.css, dashicons.min.css

Is what you say but the plugin auto adds: wp-content/cache/, wp-content/uploads/

Should that be removed or kept in?

    Thanks.

The document is still valid, and the plugin default except where noted in the doc, are safe to use.

Ahh OK thanks for the reply, so I should remove the text they add and only include the text provided in this doc?

    Thanks again.

    I removed,

    seal.js, js/jquery/jquery.js

From the java script part and added only your snippet.

Should I of left that part in and added to it?

    Thanks.

    Hi Amy,

Thanks for your reply. If you refer to the article, you need to exclude the JS scripts listed below. Remove the existing text from the text and insert the below.

    s_sid,smowtion_size,sc_project,WAU_,wau_add,comment-form-quicktags,edToolbar,ch_client,seal.js,jquery.js,frontend.min.js,quicktags.min.js,tinymce.min.js

Thanks for the reply and sorry I meant CSS

    /cache/, wp-content/uploads/

I left that in I already removed the js part so that’s OK.

    Thanks.

Sorry, I mean I left that in,

    /cache/, wp-content/uploads/

That was already in, I’m guessing same as the other that I should of removed that?

The plugin is great, sped things up allot.

Just confusing as to why I get a Google score of 87 on desktop but only 31 on mobile.

    Thanks.

    Hi Amy Fox,

Enabling the Autoptimize plugin will not solve all your pagespeed issues, did you see the advice and suggestions?

Where did you insert this /cache/, wp-content/uploads/ into?

    Hi Amy,

Thanks for your reply. Just replace it with this one.

    admin-bar.min.css, dashicons.min.css

Well, since the images are being uploaded by your users, I don’t you can do anything the image sizes or the next gen formats. 🙂

    Thanks for the reply Kor.

My thoughts exactly with the images as they are what they are.

Plan to work on the others if I can work out what they actually are.

Mark this as solved and thanks again for the help.

    😊
