Best way to show blog posts on the map and related listings

Hi, has anyone a good idea on how to associate a blog post to a listing and then display that post on the listing page either in a related news tab or some other sidebar widget?

I suppose I could create a custom post type within geodirectory but then it forces the options of needing a specific address (what if the article is just about a city?) and also requiring the website, email, phone number and other features that a normal listing does.

All I need is a way to associate a geo location to a blog post then pull that into geo directory and display on the map and as related articles on the listing page – either in a tab or a side bar widget.

Any ideas?

How about posting the listing URL into the blog post? Or maybe when the shortcodes are released using those? This is something I have been struggling with as well.

Currently there is no system to allow you to do that.

It would have to be built from scratches.

This is somthing we will work on in the future, the best way to prioritize it would be to add it in the feature request system and hope many other users will vote for it.

Otherwise it would be a customization and you’d have to work on it on your own.
