The basic GD core has a place for reviews but star average doesn’t reflect any input from a single review. “No reviews” are a constant across all listings even after submitting a review.

The average is calculated from the ‘overall’ for each individual listing.

Is that what you are asking?

Can you share a review URL and tell us what you see as the problem there?

Nothing is being calculated or shown. After entering 1 review, it still doesn’t show up. It will show as no reviews on the listing page. After running the dummy data, I have entered several review. The reviews are logged into the database but not showing up. All listings show “no reviews.” Is there a reason for it not showing up after entering a review? Is this common on the basic core?

    I suspect a caching problem.
Clear all caches and see what happens.
What caching plugin are you using?

If we need to check your settings, please post your WP admin details and URL in a private reply and we will have a look for you.

    Thanks

Yes, that could be the reason.
We’ll have a look once your site is on a webserver.
    Thanks

Probably the plugin was unable to create all database tables correctly on your localhost… It could be a problem of db permissions.

Found this as well. On a previous forum, think there is a bug with showing the overall ratings.
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/overall_rating-and-rating_count-not-updated-correctly/

The reviews and star ratings are entered and are shown on the details page. (1st photo)
None of the ratings are reflecting any review data when displaying listings. (2nd and 3rd photos) In the geodir_gd_place_detail table no of the ratings are entered into the table. (4th photo)

Entered data and got this. 8 for overall rating from 2 reviews and got a 5 overall rating. Something definitely isn’t right with the rating system.

I plugged in some more values to test if it’s calculating and it doesn’t even seem associated with any mathematical expression at all. No matter the value the overall stars is 5.

Is the site already accessible for us to have a look at your settings?

What settings could possibly affect the ratings? There is no data values in the table at all for overall and ratings count. Since the beginning of the installation, it has never worked. I have reinstalled wordpress 3 or 4 times, emptied all databases and repopulated them and it still doesn’t work. What setting would make the ratings not work? Please inform me and I can take a look at it myself.
