Can't add new Place Catagories

    Hi,

    I have just installed this plug-in and I’m testing it now.

    Now I want to add my own Place Categories, I can Enter all the details but the ‘Add New Category’ doesn’t do anything.

    I have loaded the dummy data and I’m able the CHANGE Place Categories.

    How can I make it possible to add new Place Categories. I have tested whit Place Tags, there I can ADD and CHANGED Tags.

    How to solve this problem?

    Hi,

    it is possible that another plugin is breaking the ajax save call for place categories.

    If you provide a link and admin credentials in a private reply (only staff can read them), we can have a look at this for you.

    I just added a category and it worked, so I believe you are not uploading an icon, which is mandatory.

    You can’t delete the default location. You can change it if you want, but without the multilocations add-on, you can only submit listings in the default location.

    If you want to create a directory with listings from more than 1 city, you will need this:

    Hi Paolo,

    Thanks for your anser.

    First I’m more than willing to pay for good plug-ins, but I have to many bad experience with plug-ins who looked promising and just didn’t deliver what was promised.

    The GeoDirectory looks promising and at least we wil need the add-in for advanced filtering.

    But that what you told me about the default location doesn’t make sense for me at all.

    First, after installing the plug-in, for the first time and I didn’t enter a Default location and I was able to enter entries all over Holland. For me it is logical that a default location is a default and NOT a location you MUST use then. This just doesn’t’ fit with the word default.

    Second, we want to add entries throughout The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, according to your answer this would mean that we have to enter thousands of locations??? This can’t be right.

    This doesn’t make sense at all…

    Can you explain me this please?

    Is there a money back guaranty? Like a said before I have to many experiences with paid plug-ins which doesn’t deliver what they promise.

    The default location is the location used by the core plugin.
    If you want to add listings outside the default location, you need the Multilocations addon.
    There is no need to add any locations; they will be added as you or users add listings.
