    Okay, my data is exported from Access, to a text file CSV, imported to openoffice, then the data is copied over to the sample (also open in openoffice) i have tried removing n t

    The coloumns are all present and match, I’m going to attempt another upload now.

    Is there a list of the invalid characters ?

    Like unsupported characters

    Hi,

    it depends on the collation of your database. Normally it is utf-8.

    This would be the list: http://www.fileformat.info/info/charset/UTF-8/list.htm

    When you insert an unsupported characters, it will show a black triangle sign with a question mark in it.

    You can check what that character was supposed to be by checking the word or by opening the file with notepad.

    At that point you can do a find and replace using the correct character.

    Okay, turns out i had a problem with double quotations.

    To fix this, I first saved the export as a .csv “comma delimited” but typed the extension .txt on the end. then opened the file using open office “sheet from file” and saved as a Text CSV

    All the entries are now uploading. And bar a few i missed the addresses off. They all worked.

    Hope this helps if you ever have an issue with “double quotations”.
