When importing no categories are being included, i have tried cat_name. cat_slug and cat_id.

    Any idea why?

I’ve applied these to both default_category and post_category

    Are the categories already existing?

The correct column name is post_category. Export your listings to see the correct format for the file.

Can you post URL, WP admin details and CSV file in a private message if you need us to investigate.

    Is that sample CSV exported?
It has no categories, the addresses are in the wrong columns, the order of the columns does not seem right, no lat or lng.

Add a few listings from the frontend, then export, and use that as a basis.

    Hi,

the CSV file is totally unformatted. Columns have been moved around and there are columns that the system will not recognize:

    original number for trade
    Address2
    Address3

Please use the sample file as provided and do not move headings around.

If you add custom fields, make sure to add the new columns at the end and to use the right heading.

geodir_html_variable (where html variable is the unique variable you assigned to each custom fields).

    Hope this helps.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    1. missing columns: Add a few listings from the frontend, then export, and use that as a base CSV file.

    2. Read this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#important
Do not change the order or the names of the columns of the CSV files.
    Do not delete any columns.

    3. You still have invalid characters, Electricalis a local etc

    4. Do you use OpenOffice or LibreOffice as required?
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#important

    5. You have regions that do not match the Google Map API.
    See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/definitions/#location
For example Preston should be United Kingdom, Lancashire, Preston [country, region, city].
