    Hi,

This is a topic that was nested in a previous thread – Directory Examples. I just purchased the four month complete package on a trial basis as it was my understanding that it would be somewhat easy to have a custom image for those who pay for a featured listing. However this does not seem to be the case.

What I would like is the image to Display either next to the Listing Photo or Name in search results and on the listing details page. This is a critical issue for me and if it cannot easily be resolved, I will be requesting a refund.

The prior answers indicated that it could be included as a banner, however, there does not be a place to do so when I go into edit fee levels.

    Answers provided:

    1) In an email, the reply was yes.

    2) Forum – Paolo: You can only have a “featured” banner on top of the listing image, for example: http://wpgeo.directory/ that banner you can change with whatever you want.

    3) Forum – Guust: So you could just create a SELECT custom field that if ticked, it will show an image below or next to the listing’s photo. You would just need to do some CSS to make that work.
This post explains what I am talking about, but the images have been lost in a recent server crash, and I will need to get them up again.

The posted link did not work and I need an easy solution. Can this be uploaded as a file and directly to where? Or where in the settings? Please provide a simple and full step-by-step way to do. Otherwise, your system will unfortunately not work for me.

    Thanks,

    Tony

    Hi Tony

    1. Create a CHECKBOX custom field at GD > place settings
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#select

    2. Make a note of what you added to the HTML variable name field.

    3. Create a CSS class similar to the .geodir_pool class on this page:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/custom-field-examples/
Essentially you want to hide the text, and you want to show the image instead.

If you’re stuck, post your site’s URL and your admin details in a private reply and I’ll get you started if you like.

I am out of town for the next few days so I am unable to fix that example article at this time, but will fix it up on my return.
