    The menu item only shows the “City” label. See attached.

    Hi there,

    Could you please insert the custom CSS code into GD > Design > Script > Custom Style CSS and see if it fixes the issue there?

    .main-navigation ul ul a {
        min-width: 0px;
    }

    Thanks!

    Ok, that worked, but I need it to say “State” instead of “Region” and also, when I select a City or a State, it takes me to a page that says “No records found” – currently all of the listings are in WA state. http://mod.choicesforachange.org/location/wa/

    Hi,

    you can change region to state via translation file: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/

    You cannot use States abbreviation. You must use the region/state names as returned by the Google Maps API.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks

    I followed the instructions and still not seeing it change from Region to State.
    *Installed poedit
    *Opened the geodirectory/geodirectory-languages/geodirectory-en_US.po file
    *Find instances of “Region” and replace with “State”
    *Save the .mo file and upload to /wp-content/languages/geodirectory/geodirectory-en_US.mo
    *Verify language selected in settings (English)

    Did I miss anything?

    Also – – now the listings are not showing on my map when you select a Region OR a City. No records found on ANY of the location listing pages.
    http://mod.choicesforachange.org/location/washington-1/
    http://mod.choicesforachange.org/location/washington-1/bellingham/
    http://mod.choicesforachange.org/location/

    They do show up on the page I have with the map shortcode: http://mod.choicesforachange.org/resources/

    And will show in any of the category filtered pages: http://mod.choicesforachange.org/resources/support-groups/

    Hi,

    if the string you want to change is that of the location switcher, you will need to do it using the Location Manager translation file. Please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/

    I’m sorry I should have specified that in my previous reply.

    For the second problem we will need admin credentials to have a look at your settings.

    You can provide them in a private reply.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    Nevermind – I got it to work. Not sure how, though. I just changed the page assigned to the GD Locator page to a different one. I think it was one that I was previously using. I’m guessing it had something to do with post type, but I don’t know.

    One more question about the Location Switcher – can I put that in any menu? Is there a widget for it? There should be…

    I found the shortcode for the location switcher: [gd_location_tab_switcher]

    Let’s close this topic out. I have more questions but I’ll post them in the appropriate forum area (Locations Manager). Thanks.
