Do you think I should stick to the Hack until the GitHub fork is working fully? I’m sorry I’m not a dev. Would love to know what the code is doing so I can trouble shoot it.

This is also an issue for our project.

We will go ahead with the suggested hack and use it in a child theme.

FYI i have given up on Disqus adding a generic hook to allow this easy fix and i have added a work around, from next release you will be able to install normal Disqus plugin and it should work out the box (active on blog pages and disabled on GD pages to allow reviews)

I have recently started playing around with the Postmatic and Epoch plugins for comments. They seem to have a lot of possibilities.

Hope GD can be compatible with them.
