    Hi guys:

Since I updated W3 Total Cache, I can’t access GD’s backend listing maps anymore (see attached, before and after).

I activate W3, they appear… deactivate: they disappear.

What could be causing this annoying conflict?

    Thanks

W3 Total Cache is not compatible with GD, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/known-issues/#cacheplugins

Make sure to clear the W3 cache before de-activating.

    Hello Guust alias Gaston Lagaffe,

Thanks for the reminder… I removed W3 already but lost a lot of speed unfortunately.

By the way, looking at the page you referred me to, I see the following:

    THEME CONFLICT

    ColorMag
    – Javascript errors and conflicts cause GD features not to load.

I use ColorMag and I believe the issue mentioned here has been solved a long time ago. You may want to re-assess this negative recommendation.

    Cheers,

    Guy

You can use WP Super Cache and/or Autoptimize, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/known-issues/#cacheplugins

That’s what I do Guust but it doesn’t seem as efficient when I look to my score on GTMetrix, which has gone from A to D… 🙂

With V2 you can use any caching plugin, but not with V1. Sorry.

Yeah, maybe it’s time I switch to V2! It’s a frightening perspective, though!

    Hi Guust:

One final note: as I was looking at V2 yesterday, W3 Total Cache released a new version and it solved the issue I had with GD completely!

Indeed, it now works perfectly well with GD, and so does ColorMag, my theme, which is not recommended as well.

So you may want to revisit or update your recommendations on both… just saying!

    Cheers,

    Guy
