Hi, I have a lot of listings like organisations that does not have an address. Some of them are just website based, or country based (e.g. australia). What is your suggestion to make this pop up in all australia based search no matter what city they’re on? I seem to be able to make a listing city based but not country based.

    Hi ditdut,

Thanks for your post. I’d suggest that you create a new CPT for those that do not have address by enabling the “Disable Physical Location” option as explained here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/general/#settings

Thanks Kor, how about if I just want it to be located in Australia? As I would like to open the chance that in the future there might be other countries?

You can use the options in the “Locations” tab to set specific countries for now and then change those options later.

Just to clarify: if you use a Custom Post Type without a Physical Location, then no locations can ever be assigned to those listings.
There is no option to restrict listings without a Physical Location to either a country or region or city.
But you can add custom fields (or categories – not preferable) if there is any way that you want to indicate where they are located, or where they provide services.

    Thank you

thank you very much. How do you add custom field and will it be tied into ‘country’ and shown in the map?

    You add custom fields at
Places (or other CPT) > Settings > Custom fields.
Only listings in CPTs that have a physical location can be connected to maps.

    Thanks
