Hi,

This may be the wrong place for this, but we were wondering if there is a way to use Elementor Pro to display custom post types created by GeoDirectory (places, etc) in the archive template builder? We have just upgraded to GeoDirectory V2 and it’s our understanding that it’s easy to customise your own listing / archive / etc pages with third party page / theme builders.

In the V2 docs (under integrations) it says that the theme builder addon for Elementor Pro is tested with the latest version of GD. Has anyone else attempted something like this? Is there a solution we’re not aware of? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your post. Try using the new feature from GDv2 that allows you to create a shortcode using a shortcode builder https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/ where you can “display custom post types created by GeoDirectory”

Kor is right. Use shortcodes, that’s how it works.

However, I must apologize, there was a typo, it is Elementor that is untested. The point is that builders may store information about pages that is inaccessible to GD when rendering the pages from the templates for now, so, everyday builders are less likely to work than a plugin designed to manage templates.

Next week Elementor PRO will be 100% compatible. We are almost done fixing the last few things that didn’t work with it.

Within Elementor you can use the Widgets instead of shortcodes, it’ll be easier.
