I keep the error below when I attempt to upload the csv file containing over 2400 records. A few weeks ago, I manually added 5 records and exported this data to add all of the listings.
I see another user had the same problem at https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/import-failed/. I did select the option “Update listing if post ID already exists” in GD > Settings > Import/Export.
Row 9 Error: Post type missing
Row 10 Error: Post type missing
Row 11 Error: Post type missingFYI: My WP login details are listed below.
Thanks a lot

Yes, that will not import. The sheet is missing required data.
For your import, try adding a NEW listing, filling out only the required fields, and then export.
That will give you a perfectly clear picture of which fields are required when you import.

November 21, 2019 at 4:28 am #518038Hi,
I uploaded a .csv on another site and I never had this problem at all. The only difference I can think of is this site has lots of tags and I limited the other site to 6 tags per listing.
The required fields are there by default. I will do as you suggest and let you know if it works.
November 24, 2019 at 9:44 am #518456Hi,
I did as you suggested AFTER I went into Places > Settings > telephone field and I unchecked “required” option; I did the same for the email field. I then imported all records but now I have a duplication problem where I see 2 images for each listing. See attached image I have from WP admin after the import. You have the website link which will show you the 2 images per listing.
I think I am seeing duplicate images because in the .xls I had added images for all listings into ‘wp-content/uploads/2019/10’ folder which is the month of October and not November. I figured the October link would work since I have images added to that folder and would naturally link to it. I had no idea that gd uses the current month when importing. How should I fix this problem?

November 27, 2019 at 5:38 am #518835I have 2 issues relating to the imported data. Should I open separate topics for each issue?
1. First, I had to restore the site from a backup. Second, I imported the .csv data. Third, I checked that all listings and images were successfully uploaded. Fourth, I checked for duplicates and I found a duplicate.
In Places > Settings > Duplicate Alert field I have the following “Fields to Check” – Post Title and Address. I doublechecked each listing and the post title and address are exactly the same. Why did the Duplicate Check not flag this?
FYI: The search term is “Anthem”. You can check on your end.
2. I noticed that the Reviews data is not displaying for the listings. I have 4+ stars data for each listing but on the listing details page, the number of stars is still blank. Why is this?
FYI: I had removed all of the Additional CSS from the Customize widget before importing the .csv and I added it after I reviewed the import.

November 27, 2019 at 7:24 am #5188411. Duplicate alert is for the front end add listing form.
2. Please share an example link so we can take a look.

Ajax Duplicate alert is for the frontend add listing form. When users type the title, they get feedback if the title already exists. The addon will not catch duplicates in imports. For reviews, comments are not enabled on the listing linked above. To bulk enable comments visit the Places -> All page and use the quick edit function to enable comments. Then go to the WP Backend – Settings – Discussion page and enable comments for new posts.
If you want to import reviews you can do that through the GD – Settings – Import/Export tab.
December 4, 2019 at 4:47 am #519819Hi,
The ratings are already included in the .csv that I imported. My question is why aren’t the ratings displaying for each listing? See attached? The ratings should be be 4 stars or 4.5 stars or 5 stars but no stars are highlighed at all.

There are no reviews in the .csv file. Are you saying that GD doesn’t display ratings unless the reviews are included? If the answer is yes, then please share the css required to remove this “badge” from the listing details page.
December 5, 2019 at 6:47 am #520024Hi serendipity,
Thanks for your reply. You cannot leave the reviews empty. If you wish to remove it, check out this section of the documentation. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/common-examples/#ratings
Thanks!
December 16, 2019 at 3:05 am #521618Hi,
Since it’s not possible to have ratings without reviews, I followed the doc instructions and removed the ratings from the sd-details-top-section by checking the box at
Places – Settings – General – Show Advanced – Disable Ratings without disabling comments for this post type
FYI: I also removed favorites bubble.
Now, the listing details page shows the comments bubble. Could you tell me why there isn’t a checkbox for the comments bubble to display or not? There is no need for the comments bubble on this site.
