    Hi Guys,

Does the csv importer take the “post_title” into account at all when geo-coding as it imports? I have done a few imports now and most of the map pins created are not accurate… partly down to Ireland having “Areas/townlands” more than actual postcoded addresses.

When I actually use the google maps website to search for the business names I have imported they are pretty much all there.

Is there any way I can “persuade” the importer to take the post_title into account when geo coding the address?

Also, if I have a postcode… what is the best field in the CSV to put that into?

    Thanks very much

    Adrian

The post title is not taken into account, only the address fields.

You can add additional information to the street address column to gain more accuracy.

Postcode should go into the zip column.

Try adding an example listing through the backend then exporting to follow this guide:

Thanks Alex. Is there support for Google Maps “plus codes” when importing?

    Cheers
