    Hi,
I like the functionality of the GD plugin, but I don’t like the appearance. What is the best way for me to improve the appearance of the pages and the dashboard? Should I use the plugin with another theme, or use css or modify the GD templates?

GDV2 inherits the colors and font styles of your theme, for the most part, so, a theme with lots of options for text styles can be very helpful.

After that, yes, then custom CSS can be useful.

For page content you can also consider using a builder, or a theme that supports or is designed to support a specific builder. We have some info about builders here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/builders/

A builder will help you avoid code. Beaver builder and Elementor both will allow you to use GD Widgets when creating your pages, thereby avoiding even shortcodes.
