In GDV1, when business has email address, there is an EMAIL link, once clicked, a contact form popup for visitors to contact business via email form. I am not sure but it seems to be a default feature as I did not recall I have configure anything for this.

Now in GDV2, I have tried to make the same feature work but not success. In CPT > General tab, I have tried to use Standard Field Email and Pre-defined field Contact Email. and configured it to show on Detail page.

If I use standard field, email address is exposed. If I use pre-defined Contact Email field, it is not showing at all even I select to show in Detail page.

GDv1 process is what I want, as it protects business email from spamming, all email contact via system message form without exposing email address.

Please advise how to achieve that

    Thanks

    Sam

The Send Enquiry from GDV1 has been replaced with Ninja Forms integration with the contact form.
    Doc is here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/ninja-forms/#contact

    Thanks Alex,

I did try by following the doc:

Navigate to Ninja Forms – Add new form
    Select the “GeoDirectory Contact form”
    Edit and save the form.
Visit WP – Appearance – Widgets
Add GD > Ninja Forms Widget to Sidebar, and set for Display on Detail Page

There is no option to choose where it appears. Also, the form is displayed on side bar which I thought it is a popup message form to make side bar look clean.

Finally I use TAB to reside the form instead.

I find that if I have the form resided both in TAB and side bar, the side bar widget will no longer working, just keep loading but showing nothing. Is that normal?

Widgets can be dragged up and down to re-order them in WordPress- Appearance – Widgets

I have not tested using the button twice on a page, I will flag your question for the developers

    Thanks Alex

I understand we can drag widget up and down. I mean there is no option to choose which page to appear as per doc.

Make sure you use the GD > Ninja widget, not the one supplied by Ninja Forms.

oh.. I was using Ninja Widget, did not realize GD has Widget for Ninja form.

I now place contact form in detail page Tab, will this contact Tab shows ONLY when business with email or it will show regardlessly. If it shows regardless if listing has email or not. What happen if visitor fill in contact form and submit?

The GD > Ninja widget is special and only shows if the Contact Email field is populated and allowed in the package.

How about using short code and place in tab? eg [ninja_form id=3]

    Will it work the same?
