I upgraded to V2 and now all the images show captions in a grey block under the image and then dots.

How to disable that and have thumbnails as V1 has ?

I don’t mean where is an option to not show captions in a new place I add today (which. is useful and please share as well), I mean disable it for the more than 10,000 images I already published.

    Thank you.

This is a duplicate of what you posted here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/listings-design-and-options/

Why show the image name under the images in a grey box and all the dots?

GDV1 did not support title and caption, gdv2 does. You can show it or hide it based on element options.

The slider has an option to show titles, so, you can turn that off:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/images/#slider-show-title
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/images/#meta

GDV2 works with templates and design elements. As explained in the pages above, you will need to edit the archive item and or detail page templates, to edit the options in the gd_post_images shortcode to remove the option to show the title.

The way that GDV2 works is explained in the docs. Pages and Page tempalates are explained here:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/page-design/

On that page you can read about each of the GDV2 templates.

On this page you can read about options for changing the templates by adding and altering design elements

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/personalize/

You can read about all the design elements here:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/

Can you please let me know which template file I have to edit to hide the titles and dots?

I am not able to find where in the templates:

    view
    map.php
    reviews.php
    map-popup.php
    listing-filter-form.php
    loop
    listing
    index.php
    emails
    file-upload.php
    content-widget-listing.php
    content-archive-listing.php
    content-listing.php
    auth

    Thank you.

This page will explain which templates there are:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/page-design/

you will need to edit the archive item and or detail page templates, to edit the options in the gd_post_images shortcode to remove the option to show the title.

The page and template settings are covered here:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/general/#pages

    Thank you.

For anyone looking into this, don’t go to templates or files.

    Go to GeoDirectory > Settings
    General Tab > Click pages
See which page is assigned to “Details Page”
Edit the actual page in WordPress using the editor and changing the short codes as needed.

    Hope that helps someone else.
