    Hi,

We have your all of your add-ons installed (Multilocation, Custom Google Maps, Marker Cluster, etc), but we haven’t been able to find an option to display all listings of a Custom Post Type on the map. It seems that only the 10 closest to the default location are displayed when visiting the CPT Listing page. We want all listings (markers) to be displayed on the map so that users can use the map to locate any listing in that CPT without having to use the search bar.

Where is there a setting to set all listings of a CPT to be displayed on the map when first viewing the Listing page? Thank you.

I’ll get Paolo to look at your question if it is possible to show a different number of posts/listings on a GD archive page versus a non-GD archive page.

The marker cluster only works on location pages, not listings pages.

Okay thanks Guust. That’s disappointing that the marker cluster only works on location pages out of the box. Seems that the it should be able to be applied to any map. Do you have plans to add the marker cluster to the listing pages? Or is there a hook, etc that we could use to easily apply the marker cluster to additional maps, in this case our listing pages? If it is possible to do in a few hours work we would hire a 3rd party developer to extend the functionality. Thank you for any info you can provide.

    Hi,

neither things are possible without a lot of code customization and for a reason we didn’t make it that way.

The number of listings per page in archive page is set via wordpress settings.

Showing more than 10/20 per page will make the queries very heavy and the website will load slowly as a consequence. With thousands of listings, it wouldn’t even load…

That’s why we don’t cluster the listings map, because it would be very bad practice to show more than 10/20 listings per map and clustering 10/20 markers doesn’t make much sense.

    Thanks

Thanks for the info Paolo. We are not setting our website’s homepage to be GeoDirectory; instead GeoDirectory will be in a subsection. Is there a way to have the GeoDirectory “home page” appear on another page of our site? We have been unable to locate a setting for that. It seems that having the GeoDirectory home page/map on one of our pages (again, not our actual home page) would allow us to use the marker cluster on the map. Thanks again.

Yes, you can use the location page instead.

    yoursite.com/location/

    Thanks

Thanks. I see that the page Location was created when GeoDirectory was installed. However, where is the setting to change the GeoDirectory “home page” to be mysite.com/location? Or is the only option to use shortcodes on the page?

Home and Location page share the same structure.

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/

If you add widgets to GD Home Top Section they will appear on the location page too.

    Thanks
